As part of its commitment to public outreach the Metropolitan Center presents the quarterly "MetroForum". The gathering provides high neutral ground for discussions on public policy. Open to the public, they are designed to bring together academics, elected officials, business and community leaders around issues of critical concern to South Florida.

Invited speakers represent authorities in their fields. Topics have included elections analysis, legislative analysis, poverty, housing, urban redevelopment, homeowner's insurance, hurricane risk and mitigation, municipal management, economic development infill, the funding of sports stadiums, public health, and governmental reform.

As part as our outreach efforts, we also organize trainings such as Local Economic Development Tools and Techniques.
