The FIU Metropolitan Center recently conducted an analysis of all Miami-Dade County Neighborhoods in preparation for its five-year strategic planning initiatives.
The report is designed to serve as a one-time data collection and analysis exercise. It presents a "snap shot" of Miami-Dade County's neighborhoods at a specific point in time. In order for the Miami-Dade Library System to find this information efficient in its usefulness, the Metropolitan Center , in its planning efforts, suggested that annual projections be obtained and a full community analysis be conducted every five years.
The Metropolitan Center of Florida International University bases the information presented here on 2000 Census data reported at six different levels of aggregation (from largest to smallest) the levels are:
- Federal House District
- State Senate District
- State House District
- County Commission District
- Municipality
- Branch Library Neighborhood
