The center is committed to offering local government technical
assistance. The Center has worked with the following city projects.
City of West Miami Evaluation and Appraisal Report: The center
assisted the City of West Miami in preparing and modifying
the Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) for the City of West
Miami. This project included working with the city’s
local planning agency in assessing the implementation of the
city’s Comprehensive Plan, addressing “sufficiency
issues” in the city’s recent EAR submittal, and
conducting local workshops.
Economic development plan for the 36th
Corridor in the city of Miami Spring: The center is working
on economic development study on behalf of the City of Miami
Spring for the N.W. 36th Street commercial corridor. The
proposed market study will assess existing conditions along
the corridor and examine potential economic development opportunities
for Miami
Spring. Miami Springs Report Summary
Key West Quality of Life: Assist the city of Key West in
preparing the scope of work, hiring the consultants, and providing
academic oversight for a quality of life study.
