Dr. Dario Moreno, the Metropolitan Center Director, leads the efforts in the demographics and opinion sector of this Division. The staff members of the Metropolitan Center understand that any research dealing with South Florida must begin with a clear understanding of the dramatic demographic and political changes that are occurring in South Florida.
The Metropolitan Center also conducts quantitative and qualitative public opinion research. The Center is capable of conducting statewide, regional, and county-wide telephone polls. The Metropolitan Center’s Call Center specialists have extensive experience in conducting public opinion research in South Florida in English, Spanish and Creole. The Center also has expertise in conducting elite and non-elite focus groups. These services are aimed at giving local governments and community organizations an understanding of general public policy issues, as well as assist them in their efforts to improve customer service and satisfaction.
