West Park: Team Building Retreat
This module provides all team members, both managers and non-managers alike, with the skills and insights to develop effective teams. Participants will leave with an expanded awareness of the role that they can play and the choices that they can make to develop effective, collaborative teams. Participants will discover how to take individual responsibility for providing their team with the leadership it needs to function effectively. This module uses experiential methods to get the most value and enjoyment from the process. Since this program is active, with participation and movement, we underline the importance for participants to be safe and appropriate for their individual needs. Everyone can participate regardless of their physical challenges or abilities. Get to Work - We begin with initiatives and activities designed to bring to the surface concepts needed to achieve success, including but not limited to communication, leadership, conflict resolution, inclusion and best effort. After each initiative, there is a guided discussion about what was noticed through the experience, such as the power of commitment and declaration, consciousness and awareness. These discussions touch on what the group needs to build and maintain their successful teams. The concluding wrap up looks back on what happened, with an appreciation of what was done. It is also a beginning - exploring how these concepts and insights can directly impact the future for each participant and the group as a whole.
