In order to understand what actually works in economically distressed communities in Miami, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta hosted the conference: Measuring What Counts: Harnessing Data to Improve Miami's Communities. Some of the topics addressed were "Why all the talk about data?" and "Healthy Community Partnership."
Dr. Ned Murray, AICP, Associate Director of FIU Metropolitan Center, was part of the "What's Next?" session, presenting the new South Florida Housing Studies Consortium (SFHSC) and discussing affordable housing data.
