ABOUT THIS COURSE Few people get formal education and training in public speaking and presentation skills, and in general, communication skills. Three out of four people report anxiety when presenting or speaking in front of other people. In the fast-paced world of catchy internet headlines, information overload, rapidly shrinking attention span, exponential technological advancement, Facebook, and Twitter, communicating ideas in an engaging and memorable way becomes a differentiating factor for success.
This 8-hour (over two days) action-learning course takes you through the essentials of effective communication and allows you to develop and practice your public speaking skills in a positive environment. You will walk away with insights and tools that will help you channel and grow your effective communicator and presenter self. You will learn how to deliver your ideas powerfully and how to make them stand out in the experience economy. This workshop will challenge you to stop talking, and, instead, to start speaking, so you can remain in the minds of your audiences long after your presentations are over.
So, what's in it for you? After completing this workshop, you will be better at:
1. Applying techniques to deal with the fear of public speaking.
2. Recognizing the DNA of a memorable and persuasive message.
3. Projecting confidence and authenticity through movement, body language, voice, and consistent eye contact.
4. Knowing your areas for improvement, so you can continue growing your speaking skills beyond this workshop.
Note: Employees must take both parts for full benefit and to receive a certificate.
